Our Future Leaders

The CIT application is currently available.

The LIT registration form is available January 1.

Our leadership programs provide an opportunity for young men to become tomorrow’s leaders.
The CIT program is a 5 week program for campers that are currently in 10th grade and is designed to help campers in the transition to counselor and to develop leadership skills which can be used in school or in the workforce. The CIT experience provides in-depth training in skill development, child development, group dynamics, and conflict resolution. Each CIT lives in a cabin with up to 8 other CITs. The CITs are supervised and mentored by the CIT Director. There are plenty of opportunities for CITs to enjoy camp recreation, off-site trips, and special events.

The LIT program is a 1 week leadership adventure program for campers who are currently in 9th or 10th grade.  The LITs head out into the Vermont country side to explore our natural resources and learn valuable leadership skills.  LITs learn conflict resolution, time management, patience, self awareness, and much more. All CITs and LITs must have an interview with the Camp Abnaki staff as part of the application process. There is limited room in both programs.
