Saturday, May 9, 10am to 3pm, Help us open up camp for the spring. Projects for all ages include inside and outside tasks. We focus on opening up the kitchen and dining hall for spring rental groups. Link to RSVP in comments

125 years and going strong, we're updating the camp store this year to include a line of Abnaki home furnishings......

Camp is a great place to take safe risks, learn new skills, and practice making mistakes. It's the summer to learn how to sail, swim, fish, paddle, and so much more.

Opening camp fire. Campers and staff bonding over a shared experience, singing out loud for everyone to hear, reducing stress, building community. One of our favorite posts each year... The last Wednesday in March is National Red Wagon Day.

The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that tweens, 8-13 years old, average more than 5 hours of screen media use per day. Camp Abnaki staff report that campers average 0 hours of screen media use a day while at camp. :)

A chance to choose adventure, a time to make new friends, an opportunity to recharge, and the freedom to learn new skills. Giving campers a chance to choose their activities fosters independence, boosts self-esteem, and strengthens decision-making skills.
